**Sector: Oil \& Gas / Mechanical Construction and Installation**
We are currently seeking an **Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineer** with experience in **quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)** for construction, mechanical installation, and system/equipment commissioning projects.
Job Objective
Ensure that mechanical construction and installation activities are executed in strict compliance with **engineering drawings, technical specifications, procedures, applicable standards, and client requirements**, thereby guaranteeing quality and proper documentation at every project stage.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform inspection and supervision of **mechanical installation, piping, equipment, structures, and accessories**.
* Verify material, equipment, and component quality and traceability.
* Inspect **welding, assembly, alignment, leveling, and torqueing** activities.
* Review and control procedures, drawings, specifications, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
* Coordinate and monitor **non-destructive testing (NDT)**.
* Participate in **hydrostatic tests, pressure tests, flushing, cleaning, and functional tests**.
* Prepare and manage protocols, forms, checklists, RFI/WIR, inspection reports, and quality records.
* Identify, document, and track **non-conformities (NCRs)** and corrective actions.
* Verify compliance with project and client quality requirements.
* Participate in field inspections and quality progress meetings.
* Prepare and consolidate the final **as-built quality dossier and documentation**.
* Coordinate with construction, engineering, supervision, and third-party oversight teams to ensure proper execution of work.
Requirements
* **Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering**.
* Prior experience in **QA/QC, quality control, mechanical inspection, or supervision roles**.
* Experience in **construction, mechanical installation, piping, or industrial facility installation projects**.
* Knowledge of **welding processes, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing**.
* Proficiency in documentation management and quality management systems.
* Familiarity with applicable technical standards such as **ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, and ISO**.
* Ability to interpret **drawings, isometrics, technical specifications, and construction procedures**.
* Willingness to work on-site and monitor construction activities.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in **Oil \& Gas, energy, petrochemical, or industrial sector projects**.
* Certifications related to **inspection, welding, NDT, or quality management**.
* Experience collaborating with **third-party oversight firms, contractors, and clients**.
* Knowledge of quality management systems compliant with **ISO 9001**.
* Experience in preparing and closing **quality dossiers**.
Work Location: Bogotá, Santa Paz neighborhood. Carrera 9 No. 10-47; working hours Monday to Saturday, 42 hours per week.
