As part of the team—whether delivering analysis, forecasting, or reporting financial information—your application of accurate corporate finance practices will play a critical role in how we impact patients’ quality of life worldwide. **How You Will Make an Impact** ============================= * Provide guidance, advice, analysis, and reporting of financial information. * Analyze and interpret monthly financial results to identify financial issues for departments; provide information. * Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; collect data and generate reports to support trend analysis. * Timely preparation of month-end close, including statutory annual reports. * Evaluate system capabilities and process efficiency, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades. * Collect information for management presentations. * Prepare, submit, and process monthly tax filings (e.g., VAT) and Intrastat reports. * Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financial statements, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors. * Other incidental duties: Evaluate basic system capabilities and process efficiency and make improvement recommendations. * May be required to assist with tasks from other team members. **What You’ll Need** ====================== * Bachelor’s degree or locally recognized certification in Accounting or Finance. * Minimum 3 years of prior related experience. * Experience in accounting and expense analysis. * Intermediate English proficiency required. * JDE knowledge required. **What Else Will Help** ====================== * Proven experience with MS Office, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP experience (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP) preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and research skills. * Strong knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to accounting. * Compliance with all company standards and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Health & Environmental Safety rules) and implementation of appropriate controls to prevent injury to self and others, as well as environmental protection and pollution prevention within one’s sphere of influence/control. * Strong understanding of local tax principles. * Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles. * Ability to communicate with different areas to improve processes. * Experience in one’s own functional area and general knowledge of other business areas impacted. * Ability to handle confidential information discreetly. * High attention to detail. * Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels. * Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to work in a team environment, including cross-departmental teams, and represent the department on specific projects. * Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships.
