This role is responsible for establishing an instant connection with customers by phone and is expected to have technical knowledge of all SGS service offerings to deliver expert customer service, providing support to customers, external sales teams and Customer Service teams. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing leads, generating proposals and preparing quotations in accordance with SGS standards. **Specific Responsibilities:** * At all times, comply with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct. * Represent SGS professionally and ethically in the market. * Use exceptional verbal and written communication skills to discuss SGS capabilities and its unique features, benefits and services to customers. * Respond to customer inquiries and provide supporting documentation via email. * Contact potential and existing customers to discuss their needs. * Continuously stay updated on SGS service offerings and assess customer needs in relation to SGS capabilities. * Generate leads through monitoring of bidding websites. * Conduct discovery sessions with both qualified and unqualified potential customers. * Develop prospects and convert them into sales. * Follow up on proposals to determine outcomes. * Close sales and achieve revenue targets. * Practice active listening to understand and identify customer needs and determine potential opportunities. * Maintain the database of leads and customer inquiries in the CRM. * Provide proposal and opportunity intelligence to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager. * Continuously develop personal selling skills, acquire industry knowledge, expand expertise in environmental service offerings and apply them. * Develop a network of industry contacts. * Communicate, as necessary, with ISMs and other internal staff. * Build trust by providing timely responses to all inquiries, whether by phone or email. * Foster a positive "can-do" attitude and a safe working environment. * Stay informed and comply with SGS procedures and standards. * Build and maintain strong working relationships. * Adopt and support specific operational improvement activities as communicated by the GBS Team Leader. These projects will focus on improving quality, efficiency, accreditation, communication and technical enhancement. * Perform other related duties that may be assigned, either in support of departmental objectives or for personal or professional training, education or development, as scheduled by the immediate supervisor. * Ensure the GBS work area remains clean and presentable at all times. * Comply with all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related science required. * Requires C1 level or higher in English. * Entry level with 0\-2 years of experience. Prior industry experience is an advantage but not required. * Previous telephone sales experience is a plus. * Proficient in Microsoft Windows suite, LinkedIn and CRM software. * Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent oral and written communication skills to build strong relationships with customers, as well as to work effectively and collaborate internally. * Strong leadership, self-initiative, resourcefulness, excellent problem-solving and time management skills. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Active listening and excellent customer service skills. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or organization employees. **Additional Information** Schedule: Monday to Friday Modality: On-site Salary: $6,000,000 \+ Commissions (commission structure shared during interview process). Initial 6-month temporary contract, followed by direct indefinite-term employment with SGS.
