Job Summary: The Research Business Developer is responsible for creating new opportunities, expanding markets, and accelerating the growth of the Research portfolio. Key Responsibilities: 1. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities. **Job Description** =================== The Research Business Developer is responsible for creating new opportunities, expanding markets, and developing initiatives to accelerate the sustainable growth of the Research portfolio within the HUB. **Responsibilities:** **Market Development and Opportunity Generation** * Identify new business opportunities in the Research segment by exploring applications, customers, and markets with low penetration levels. * Analyze market trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities for the Research solutions portfolio. * Develop entry strategies for new segments, institutions, and research areas. **Pipeline Generation and Development** * Build, manage, and track the pipeline of new business opportunities in the Research segment. * Generate qualified opportunities jointly with the commercial team. * Ensure pipeline maturation through customer understanding, identification of needs, and solution structuring. * Responsible for generating and developing the pipeline, not for commercial closure. **Customer and Key Stakeholder Engagement** * Establish and develop relationships with researchers, academic leaders, laboratory directors, and other relevant stakeholders. * Identify decision-makers in research and development processes. * Position the organization as a strategic partner in Research solutions. **Value Proposition Development** * Build value propositions aligned with customers’ scientific, technical, and operational needs. * Identify use cases, applications, and differentiated benefits of the Research portfolio. * Support the technical and commercial structuring of complex opportunities together with Sales and technical teams. **Research Business Expansion** * Contribute to portfolio growth through expansion of existing accounts and acquisition of new accounts. * Drive initial adoption of solutions among new customers or segments. * Identify long-term growth opportunities within the market. **Collaboration with Internal Teams** * Collaborate closely with the sales team to convert opportunities. * Coordinate with technical roles (e.g., Technical Market Development) to support adoption processes. * Align initiatives with Marketing to strengthen the value proposition and portfolio positioning. **Information Management and Tracking** * Record and track opportunities in management systems (CRM). * Report on pipeline progress, generated opportunities, and market evolution. * Ensure visibility of business development activities in the Research segment. **Requirements:** * University degree in Health Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Bacteriology, or related fields (cytometry and research). * Knowledge of the Research environment, including scientific applications, research processes, and academic or laboratory dynamics. * Understanding of consultative commercial processes and business development. * Ability to structure value propositions aligned with technical and scientific needs. * Proficiency with commercial management tools (CRM) and pipeline analysis. * Advanced English **Why Join Us?** ================ To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
