Interpretation of technical drawings **JOB INFORMATION** ------------------------- **Position:** Assembler 3 **Department:** Production **Immediate Supervisor:** Production Shift Supervisor / Internal Manufacturing Supervisor **General Summary:** Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to assemble metal structures, preparing, cutting, and joining components with precision, ensuring quality, functionality, and compliance with project standards. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** ---------------------- **Education:** Technician or Technologist in Aluminum Carpentry, Metal Carpentry, Welding, Cutting and Assembly of Metal Structures, or related fields. **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions. **Knowledge:** * Proficiency in manual and electric tools. * Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings. * Knowledge of identifying measurement systems. **FUNCTION DESCRIPTION** -------------------------------- * Interpret pipe blueprints and specifications to correctly execute assigned tasks. * Identify materials, shapes, dimensions, and characteristics of various components according to the technical specifications of the work order. * Mark, cut, and prepare parts for joining via welding or mechanical fastening. * Conduct leak, pneumatic, and mechanical tests on equipment. * Operate and commission tools such as manual plasma cutters, oxy-fuel cutting equipment, grinders, motor tools, drills, among others, to shape the metal structure. * Correct defects identified by the Quality Department. * Sort waste and scrap, placing them into designated containers for proper disposal. * Sharpen and maintain drills and other tools in good working condition. * Keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe. Other functions assigned as required by organizational needs.
