Position Summary: A prominent company in the forestry sector is seeking an Operations Manager for Plant and Custom Furniture to lead and consolidate wood transformation and custom furniture production lines, ensuring operational efficiency and team management. Lead and manage human teams A prominent company in the forestry sector is currently seeking an Operations Manager for Plant and Custom Furniture — an Industrial or Forestry Engineer, Industrial Technologist, or graduate of related disciplines with specialization. The candidate’s objective will be: To direct, integrate, and consolidate the Transformation and Custom Furniture lines of Agropecuaria La Sultana S.A.S., ensuring operational efficiency, cost control per product and per project, compliance with quality standards, and effective management of the assigned human team, thereby securing the division’s profitability and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include: Transformation Line * Direct and supervise operations at the Guaymaral plant. * Supervise laminating, solid wood, and treatment processes. * Manage third-party marketing of panels. * Optimize production costs per cubic meter (m³). * Monitor process yields and minimize waste. * Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and boiler. Custom Furniture Line * Lead institutional projects and projects with construction firms. * Supervise execution of premium custom furniture. * Manage project execution using outsourced personnel (OPS). * Coordinate with the Commercial Department (Álvaro) for project tracking. * Control timelines, costs, and quality per project. * Develop internal technical capabilities of the team. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in wood product transformation or custom furniture manufacturing, with supervisory responsibility over personnel. Technical Competencies * Product- and project-level costing. * Lean Manufacturing. * Management of operational teams (20 or more people). * Use of productivity and quality indicators.
