




Position Summary: Lead projects and activities of the Science and Technology team to drive product development, technology transfer, and technical customer support, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements. FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE: Lead the Science and Technology team’s projects and activities at the Andean Region laboratory, driving product development, technology transfer, and technical customer support in alignment with Company guidelines. Ensure that developed solutions meet technical specifications, customer requirements, and key area performance indicators. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead the planning, prioritization, control, and communication of technical projects related to new product development and formulation adjustments, ensuring operational excellence throughout the product lifecycle and efficient inventory management. * Participate in defining the business unit’s strategy for selecting and structuring the project pipeline. * Plan, prioritize, and supervise activities related to internal and external audits (5S, IATF, ISO 9001, ISO 14001\), continuous improvement projects (BPI), and problem analysis and resolution methodologies, ensuring compliance with total quality indicators (First Lot Control, industrial batch consistency, root cause analysis, and timely claim closure). * Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing technical teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and removal of obstacles affecting motivation or project progress. * Ensure adherence to design and development process stages, including CSR analysis, customer specifications, legal requirements, and special characteristics, to guarantee customer satisfaction and technical compliance. * Manage technical resources within the area, ensuring budget compliance and efficient allocation of investments for regional technology development. **About us:** **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™** Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
