Job Summary: The Norwegian Refugee Council assists displaced persons in more than 30 countries, providing emergency and long-term assistance and advocating for their rights. Key Highlights: 1. Independent humanitarian assistance to displaced persons 2. Emergency and long-term assistance to millions annually 3. Protect and advocate for refugees' rights The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization that assists people forced to flee. We respond to crises in more than 30 countries, providing emergency and long-term assistance to millions of people each year. We protect people forced to flee, advocating for their rights. NORCAP, our capacity to mobilize experts, helps strengthen local and international capacities to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. NRC also hosts the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) in Geneva, a global leader in information and advocacy for internally displaced persons. An employment contract with NRC may result in being employed—or deployed—to a region, country, area, or office where significant health and security risks exist. NRC takes this very seriously and has procedures in place to reduce exposure to known risks, though it cannot eliminate risk entirely. NRC is an equal opportunity employer and seeks diversity in its staff in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, nationality, and physical ability.
