The successful candidate will examine and document the structure of our existing databases, contribute to building new data models, and ensure alignment with business needs, rules, and regulations. This position calls for a solid grasp of data management, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams and data architects. **Responsibilities** * Examine current database structures to gain insight into data flows, relationships, and dependencies * Record the existing database schema, data dictionaries, and data lineage * Pinpoint opportunities for improvement and optimization within current database structures * Work with product owners, data architects, and software engineers to design and build new data models that address business needs * Confirm that data models remain scalable, efficient, and consistent with best practices * Produce and update data models, diagrams, and accompanying documentation * Engage with stakeholders to collect and understand business requirements tied to data * Convert business requirements into technical specifications for data models and databases * Understand and apply applicable data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements * Verify that data models and database structures align with industry standards and regulations * Track and report on adherence to data governance standards * Build and roll out data quality checks and validation processes * Identify and fix data quality issues to preserve data integrity * Coordinate with software and data engineers, business analysts, and other IT staff to implement and refine data models * Share findings, insights, and recommendations with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders * Offer support and training to users on new data models and database structures * Requirements **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field * At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable role * Proficiency in SQL along with experience using database management systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server * Familiarity with NoSQL data stores and JSON document modeling * Strong understanding of data modeling concepts * Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and critical\-thinking abilities * Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to thrive in an agile, collaborative, and fast\-paced environment * Excellent English proficiency (C1 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Experience with data modeling tools, such as ERwin or ER/Studio **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn *EPAM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
