Reviews and monitors various operational and administrative Collections processes, ensuring they align with strategies and procedures in accordance with applicable local, regional, and global policies. **Responsibilities** * Act as a spokesperson for the customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage the Bank’s relationships, systems, and knowledge broadly. * Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daily activities and decisions. * Conduct effective and efficient operations within respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk. * Promote a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace. * Document and graphically map Collections unit processes according to Global Operations definitions and standardization requirements. * Identify opportunities for improvement in established controls and processes across all Collections department areas using the Control Self-Assessment (Test) methodology. * Ensure appropriate follow-up on action plans resulting from such reviews to meet delivery deadlines in both form and content. * Support all internal or external audits, as well as other reviews conducted on the Collections department. * Analyze the impact of each Issue identified and work collaboratively with the affected area to determine: whether it qualifies as an Issue; who owns the Issue; communicate the Issue; develop the corrective action plan; and track it accordingly to report its resolution. * Validate compliance with the guidelines defined in the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) policy for Collections vendors. * Coordinate and manage activities required for the Unit’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) process. * Monitor the Unit’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Review regulatory requirements issued by each country’s regulatory authorities to ensure proper alignment of Collections processes with local regulations. * Ensure compliance with corporate Information Security guidelines applicable to the Unit. **Education, Experience, Other Information** Academic Requirements: University degree: Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or related field. (Desirable) Technical Requirements: * Collections processes.
