Job Summary: Responsible for automation in aerospace manufacturing, quality testing, CIAC project integration, and continuous improvement with technical support. Key Highlights: 1. Automation of aerospace manufacturing lines using advanced technology. 2. Development and automation of tests for quality assurance. 3. Integration and documentation of projects under aerospace standards. Activities to be performed in the laboratory area \*1\. Automation of the aerospace manufacturing line\* \- \*Design and implement automated cells\* for manufacturing composite structures: carbon fiber, Kevlar. Curing oven control, CNC cutting, and automated lay-up. \- \*Program PLCs and SCADA systems\* to control manufacturing machines: 5-axis milling machines, cutters, automatic riveting machines. \- \*Integrate collaborative robots\* for precision tasks: adhesive application, insert insertion, engine and servo assembly. \- \*Implement machine vision\* for inspection: detect delaminations, porosity, lamination defects, and fastener defects. \#\#\# \*2\. Test automation and quality assurance\* \- \*Develop automatic test benches\* for subsystems: motors, ESCs, servos, landing gear, electrical systems. \- \*Automate avionics calibration\*: IMU, GPS, pitot tube, compass, flight sensors. All records are retained for RAC traceability. \- \*Create ground-based test routines\* HIL — Hardware In the Loop — to validate the PX4/ArduPilot autopilot prior to flight. \- \*Integrate data acquisition systems\* for flight tests. Each parameter must be documented according to aerospace standards. \#\#\# \*3\. Integration and documentation for CIAC projects\* \- \*Automate firmware and configuration loading\* onto flight controllers and avionics, with version control. \- \*Develop HMI interfaces\* enabling technicians to operate machines and test benches error-free. \- \*Implement MES/IoT traceability\*: each drone must have its digital "life record" — serial number, operator, material batch, test results. \- \*Support process validation\* per aerospace standards: RAC 21, RAC 43. Any change in automation must be fully documented. \*4\. Continuous improvement and project support\* \- \*Analyze production data\* to reduce manufacturing time for CIAC UAVs: Quimbaya, Arpía, etc. \- \*Perform predictive maintenance\* on automated equipment to prevent downtime in strategic projects. \- \*Train technicians\* on safe operation of automated systems. \- \*Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Flight Testing teams\* to transition from prototype to series production. Education: * Incomplete or ongoing bachelor's degree (Desirable) Willingness to travel: * 50 % (Desirable) Workplace: On-site employment
