We are looking for a **Senior COBOL Programmer** with a professional background in **Systems Engineering** or related fields, and experience in project management within the financial sector, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in: COBOL, JCL, and DB2 \- SQL database design and development; project and incident management; strong analytical capability. Experience and knowledge in: COBOL, JCL, SQL, JIRA, CHANGEMAN, CONTROL\-M, CICS, TSO, VSAM, ALTAMIRA, JAVA, C , XML, HTML, Z/OS, UNIX, WINDOWS, IDZ. **Profile** * Minimum 3 years’ experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2 – SQL database development, CHANGEMAN, CONTROL\-M, CICS, TSO, VSAM, and ALTAMIRA. * Experience in Loans, Metrics, and Information Quality. * Knowledge and hands-on experience with Jira. * Experience in Online Transaction Development. * Knowledge and experience in **project and incident management using Altamira**. * Design of high-availability solutions for database management systems. * Incident and problem management. * Monitoring of usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc. * Database migration, upgrades, and patching. * Query optimization to improve overall performance. * Management and implementation of database backup systems. * Data recovery from backups. * Support activities for development teams, including recommendations and best practices. * Review and design of maintenance plans and scheduled tasks. * Platform health auditing and improvement recommendations. * Experience in the banking sector. * Familiarity with BBVA internal tools and processes (**Preferred**). * Experience and ability to interact with user departments. * Effective communication within the team. * Autonomous, proactive profile with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.). * Hybrid. **About Inetum** Inetum is a global technology services and digital innovation company present in more than 26 countries.
