We are looking for a **Senior COBOL Programmer**, with a professional background in **Systems Engineering** or related fields, and experience in project management environments within the financial sector, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in: Design and Development in **COBOL, JCL, DB2-SQL databases**, project and incident management, and strong analytical capabilities. Experience and knowledge in: COBOL, JCL, SQL, JIRA, CHANGEMAN, CONTROL-M, CICS, TSO, VSAM, ALTAMIRA, JAVA, C, XML, HTML, Z/OS, UNIX, WINDOWS, IDZ. **Profile** * Minimum 3 years’ experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2-SQL database development, CHANGEMAN, CONTROL-M, CICS, TSO, VSAM, and ALTAMIRA. * Experience in Loans, Metrics, and Information Quality * Knowledge and use of Jira * Experience in Online Transaction Development * Knowledge and experience in **project and incident management in Altamira** * Design of high-availability solutions in database managers. * Incident and problem management. * Monitoring of usage, transaction volumes, response times, concurrency levels, etc. * Database migration, upgrades, and patching. * Query optimization to improve overall performance. * Database backup system management and implementation. * Data recovery from backups. * Support activities for development teams, including recommendations and best practices. * Review and design of maintenance plans and scheduled tasks. * Platform health auditing and improvement recommendations. * Experience in the banking sector * Familiarity with internal BBVA tools and processes (**Preferred**) * Experience and ability to interact with user departments * Effective communication within the team * Autonomous, proactive profile with strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.). * Hybrid. **About Inetum** Inetum is a global technology services and digital innovation company, present in more than 26 countries.
