Collaboration in GitOps workflows with a focus on automation ### **Summary** We are looking for a Cloud Integration Engineer with proven experience in deploying and integrating open-source cloud technologies. This role is critical to ensuring the successful implementation of our infrastructure solutions in mission-critical environments, working directly with leading telecommunications operators across Latin America. In this position, your mission will be to perform all necessary tasks for the correct implementation and integration of Whitestack’s commercialized products. These tasks include deploying Whitestack products and integrating them with external systems on platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenStack, ensuring their proper operation and compatibility with the client’s external systems. **This role is available for remote work from the following locations: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru.** ### **Responsibilities** * Identify and request deployment requirements from the client in a timely manner. * Deploy the components comprising Whitestack’s solutions / products. * Perform component testing in virtualized environments. * Conduct post-deployment validation testing and troubleshooting. * Collaborate in GitOps-style workflows, emphasizing automation and engineering best practices. * Author and update documentation related to project infrastructure. * Analyze and resolve potential issues that may arise during the rollout of deployable components. * Channel customer requests regarding product features to the corresponding internal departments. * Contribute to product improvements. ### **Requirements** **Experience** * +2 years of proven experience in Cloud Engineering. * Experience in deploying, integrating, and troubleshooting open-source cloud technologies (OpenStack, Kubernetes, etc.). * Familiarity with agile methodologies. * Experience configuring Linux networking (interfaces/VLANs, IPTables, routing, bonding, etc). * Desired experience working with or within telecommunications operators. **Education** * Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. **Specific Knowledge / Technical Requirements** * Intermediate-to-advanced Linux: + Basic commands, file manipulation, networking, etc. + Ability to apply network configurations. + Experience with Shell scripting (Bash). * Kubernetes (intermediate/advanced) + Understands the pod lifecycle, distinguishes between different deployment types, knows how to use claims, volumes, and storage classes, has debugged pods, understands probes and init-containers, has deployed using YAML and Helm, etc. * Experience with Docker / Containerd + Understands the container lifecycle, use of volumes, and various commands for execution, attaching, viewing logs, etc. * Intermediate-to-advanced networking (interfaces/VLANs, IPTables, routing, bonding, etc) * Virtualization: Experience with KVM, OpenStack, or other virtualization tools. * Ansible (intermediate) + Knows how to execute playbooks using roles, understands typical role structure, and knows how to use inventories and variables. * Terraform (intermediate) + Has deployed IaC and knows how to troubleshoot it. * Git (intermediate) * Knows the standard workflow of add, commit, push. * Knows more advanced commands such as rebase or cherry-pick.
