Wood is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join its Projects business unit, focusing on the Oil, Gas and New Energies (OGNE) area. This opportunity is onsite.
**The Role.**
Wood Colombia is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer or related discipline professional with 15+ years of specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector to serve as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer. Work location: Bogotá. Proficiency in tools such as: Microsoft Office, Fisher valve specification, Instrucalc, Regulators & relief valve toolkit, Valvestar, AutoCAD, E&H Applicator, Emerson Sizing & selection.

* Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards including API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, ISA, OSHA regulations, as well as client specifications and sound engineering practices.
* Conduct field visits to gather required information for project development.
* Identify design change notes and facilitate their communication within the project.
* Execute any other responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor and aligned with company needs.

**Required:**
* English proficiency minimum 75% desirable.
* Preparation of HH estimates for proposals.
* Ability to perform technical assurance of discipline deliverables and multidisciplinary integrity.
* Technical expertise in one or more areas of the discipline to support projects.
* Ability to conduct technical talks for the discipline, training and mentoring of less-experienced talent.
* Ability to support the discipline in peer reviews and checker workshops.
* Advanced interpretation of P&IDs.
* Definition of design bases and criteria according to project scope.
* Development of system philosophies and associated definitions related to control logic.
* Review of deliverables and technical integrity of the discipline in projects.
* Preparation and planning of PDTs and PDNs.
