Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our fleet of vehicles and machinery, ensuring their operational readiness and safety. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicles and machinery. 2. Performs inspections and repairs in the yard/workshop and addresses mechanical issues encountered on routes. 3. Repairs and adjusts engines, transmissions, suspensions, and performs welding. We seek a talented and committed Mechanical Technician to join our team and help us keep our fleet of vehicles and machinery operational. What will be your mission? You will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on our fleet of vehicles and machinery (engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, welding, and general adjustments). Through your work, you will ensure that vehicles and machinery are always ready and safe to provide service to the city. Key Responsibilities: \- Perform preventive and corrective inspections and repairs in the yard/workshop according to assigned work orders. \- Address mechanical issues encountered on routes to quickly return vehicles to operation. \- Repair and adjust engines, disassemble gearboxes, clutches, suspensions (leaf springs), and perform metalworking/welding tasks. \- Timely completion of work orders and control forms for spare parts and lubricants. What profile are we looking for? Education: Technical or Technologist degree in mechanics, electrical engineering, electromechanics, automotive technology, welding, or related fields. Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a mechanic or in similar roles. Driver’s license: C1 or C2 (desirable; licenses in process are acceptable). Technical knowledge: \- Maintenance of heavy and light vehicles. \- Suspension, transmission, braking, and hydraulic systems. \- Electronic fuel injection systems. Base Salary: $2´222\.500\. Average Salary: $3´600\.000\.
