Direct liaison with aviation authorities and system administration. **You're getting closer to touching the sky!** **✈️** We want you to be part of this exciting journey, where you can grow and develop alongside a highly skilled and diverse team that will support you in overcoming obstacles and reaching your destination. **Operational Technical Director** In this role, you will lead AGIL’s fleet maintenance and airworthiness management to guarantee the technical availability required by the route network, defining planning and control of major and minor maintenance activities with service providers, managing associated spare parts inventory, and overseeing human and financial resources of the department; conducting direct liaison with aviation authorities regarding regulatory requirements and audits; and administering the maintenance information system and supporting process improvements, in compliance with each COA’s regulations and manufacturers’ recommendations, to sustain safe operations and business operational continuity. **Specific Responsibilities** * Ensure compliance with the fleet maintenance program according to manufacturer standards, each COA’s regulations, and operator-specific standards. * Ensure availability of resources — budget, capacity, materials, personnel, and scheduling — for execution of the maintenance program, anticipating impacts from network and fleet planning. * Define maintenance scheduling and control strategy and its evolution based on audit findings, industry benchmarks, and airworthiness and availability performance indicators. * Oversee incorporation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and fleet modifications, determining their scope and timing based on technical, regulatory, and economic criteria. * Serve as the technical and fleet interface for aircraft introductions, returns, and project development. * Provide timely technical response to OMA during AOG events, critical conditions, and incidents to safely return aircraft to service in the shortest possible time. * Define and manage spare parts inventory levels, balancing operational service level against tied-up capital. * Administer technical documentation and the maintenance information system, ensuring data integrity as evidence of airworthiness for regulatory authorities. **Requirements for the Position:** * Minimum 10 years of experience in the aviation sector, preferably in engineering, planning, and/or reliability functions. * Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related fields; Master’s degree preferred. * English proficiency: Advanced C1 level. * Experience and relationships with Boeing and/or Airbus manufacturers. * Desired knowledge in: + - Engines and fleets (A320 \- A330 \- 787\) Position Base: Bogotá, Colombia.
