Description
Summary:
Med School Insiders is seeking a Recruiter to build and own the end-to-end recruiting function, with real authority and executive partnership to shape the process.
Highlights:
1. High-impact mission supporting future physicians
2. Agile, remote-first team with low bureaucracy and high autonomy
3. Rare greenfield opportunity to build a recruiting machine
**About Med School Insiders**
Med School Insiders helps students become physicians through world\-class educational resources, mentorship, and admissions consulting. With millions of followers across YouTube and social media, a trusted reputation in the premed and medical communities, and a rapidly growing services and ecommerce business, Med School Insiders is redefining what support for future doctors looks like. Advisory engagements run from $10,000 to $100,000 with premeds, medical students, and their families. The company is fully remote, with a contractor team across the US, Latin America, and the Philippines, all working US Pacific (Las Vegas) business hours. Med School Insiders is scaling fast and hiring across every function. That growth is why this role exists.
**About the Role**
We are hiring a Recruiter to own the recruiting function end to end, reporting directly to the COO. Today, recruiting is spread across the team as a part\-time duty attached to other jobs. Your mandate is to pull those scattered pieces into one function and build the recruiting process and tracking system from scratch: intake, sourcing, screening funnels, pipeline tracking, and reporting. This is a greenfield build with real authority, and you will not build it alone; the COO co\-designs the architecture with you. You execute and own it.
Day one, you inherit a live requisition stack of seven roles across two very different markets:
* US\-based professional sales: High\-Ticket Closer (six\-figure OTE role) and Appointment Setter
* Remote/global professional and creative: Executive Assistant to the CEO, Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, Premed College Advisor, plus evergreen advisor and content roles as they open
This is a lean\-forward, take\-initiative role. Hiring managers are your customers and the COO is your escalation path. If you prefer waiting for assignments or routing every call up the chain, this is not the right fit.
**Key Responsibilities**
Requisition Ownership
* Own every open requisition end to end: intake with the hiring manager, job description, posting, sourcing, screening, and shortlist delivery.
* Run intake conversations that produce clear fit criteria, comp bands, and timelines before sourcing begins.
* Keep every requisition moving; surface blockers to the COO early rather than letting searches stall silently.
Outbound Sourcing
* Hunt, not just post. The sales roles will not be filled by inbound applications; the best closer candidates are employed and not looking.
* Run outbound on LinkedIn Sales Navigator targeting working sales professionals; treat job boards as one channel, not the strategy.
* Build and maintain talent pipelines for evergreen roles so future requisitions start warm.
Screen Funneling Design and Operation
* Build structured screening funnels from scratch: application forms with discrete gating data, tracking spreadsheets with pass/fail columns, short video (Loom) screens for communication and instruction\-following.
* Design every funnel so pass/fail decisions are data\-driven and auditable, not vibes\-driven.
Shortlist Delivery
* Deliver small, high\-quality shortlists to hiring managers with evidence attached (video screens, structured data), not stacks of resumes.
* Present candidates with a clear point of view: why this person, what the risks are, what to probe in interview.
Candidate Experience
* Manage candidate communications at a standard that reflects a premium brand: fast responses, clean rejections, no ghosting.
* Remember that candidates in our world are often premed families encountering Med School Insiders for the first time. How you treat a rejected candidate matters.
Toolkit Ownership
* Run the toolkit: LinkedIn and Sales Navigator, Torre, , and whatever else earns its keep.
* Budget exists for tools; judgment about which ones deserve it is part of the job.
Pipeline Reporting
* Report a simple weekly pipeline scorecard per role: applicants, pass\-through, screens, shortlist, time\-to\-fill.
* Keep the tracking system current enough that the COO can inspect any search in five minutes without asking you questions.
**Qualifications**
Required Skills and Experience
* 3\+ years of full\-cycle recruiting with real sourcing ownership, not coordination
* Demonstrated outbound sourcing skill: you can describe, concretely, how you would hunt an employed, high\-earning US sales rep who is not job hunting
* Experience recruiting in at least two of these markets: US professional/sales roles, LATAM remote professionals, Philippines\-based remote staff
* Systems builder: you have created screening funnels, structured scorecards, or tracking systems from scratch, not just used someone else’s ATS
* Excellent written and spoken English; you will correspond directly with US candidates daily
* Available full time on US Pacific business hours
**Bonus points**
* Has recruited commission\-based sales roles and understands why those funnels differ from salaried searches
* Comfortable being measured: speaks naturally in pass\-through rates, time\-to\-fill, and offer\-accept rates
* Has worked embedded, in\-house, or as a dedicated RPO for one client, not only high\-volume agency splits
**Disqualifiers**
* Post\-and\-pray profile: sourcing strategy is “write a good ad and wait”
* Cannot give a specific example of a hard search they closed and how
* Volume mindset: proud of quantity of resumes submitted rather than quality of hires who stayed
**Why Work With Us?**
* High\-impact mission supporting future physicians
* Agile, remote\-first team with low bureaucracy and high autonomy
* Direct access to the COO with real authority over how the function runs
* A rare greenfield: you build the recruiting machine rather than inherit someone else’s, with an executive design partner and a live requisition stack to prove it on
* The company is scaling fast; the function you build gets used immediately and visibly
**What Good Looks Like at 30/60/90**
* 30 days: All seven requisitions have live funnels, tracking sheets, and weekly scorecards. Closer and Setter outbound sourcing running on Sales Navigator.
* 60 days: Closer and Setter roles filled or at final\-interview stage; shortlists delivered on the remaining stack.
* 90 days: Recruiting runs as a machine the COO inspects weekly rather than operates daily.
**Engagement Terms**
* Full\-time dedicated engagement, fully remote, monthly retainer of $2,000 to $2,500 USD based on experience, plus a tools budget. Independent contractor arrangement. Start date: immediate.
