Collaborate with DevOps, development, and SRE teams in a follow-the-sun model We are seeking a **Senior Database Engineer** to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission\-critical databases deployed across multi\-cloud environments. **Responsibilities** * Install, configure and upgrade MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL and Oracle databases * Monitor, tune and optimize database performance * Manage backups, recovery and disaster recovery plans * Implement and maintain database security and user access * Set up replication, clustering and high\-availability solutions * Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and tools * Troubleshoot and resolve database issues * Document configurations and procedures * Collaborate with DevOps and development teams **Requirements** * Minimum 3 years of experience in database engineering or administration * Advanced MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL or Oracle administration * Skills in scripting with Shell or Python for automation * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible * Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana or ELK * Knowledge of cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure or GCP * Strong background in database security, replication and high availability * Flexibility to work rotational on\-call, overlapping regional shifts and weekend coverage * Capability to collaborate in a follow\-the\-sun model with SREs, platform engineering and application teams
