A Senior Engineer provides broad technical leadership, establishing architecture and standards across all teams and delivering cross-project outcomes. **In general:** * Technical Strategy and Architecture: Establish technical governance and architectural standards across all projects. * Cross-functional Enablement: Lead key reviews, unblock teams, and align decisions with business objectives. * Reliability and Quality: Improve observability, security, performance, and engineering practices. * Technical Execution: Develop engineers and raise the bar for delivery execution. **In particular:** * Define architecture for multi-project systems. * Key technical discoveries and risk assessments. * Establish and enforce engineering, testing, and review standards. * Technical roadmaps aligned with delivery plans. * Guidance on incident response and postmortems. * Coach engineers and share best practices. * Review critical pull requests and approve high-risk changes. * Ensure compliance with security and quality requirements. * Review pull requests and mentor engineers. * Maintain test coverage above 90% for each project under their responsibility. **Technical Skills:** * **Backend:** Python with the **Django** framework. * **Frontend:** JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and **Alpine.js**. * **Experience in:** * Web application development and architecture. * Design, development, and integration of REST APIs. * Consumption and integration of SOAP services. * Unit testing and code quality assurance. * Git usage and version control. **Requirements:** * Experience: 10 years in the field. * Knowledge and management of servers. * Technical skills: Deep understanding of software methodologies, tools, and process knowledge. * Leadership skills: Influence technical decisions across teams.
