We are seeking a semi-senior Linux operating system administrator to join our Resolution Groups – Operating Systems team. The professional will serve as the technical reference for the Linux stack within the Colombia team, responsible for administration and operation of Linux virtual machines in the public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI). The Linux environment includes Red Hat, Debian, and CentOS distributions and hosts highly complex technical workloads supporting databases, middleware, and the client’s critical applications. **Key Responsibilities** * Administer Linux virtual machines (Red Hat, Debian, CentOS) in the public cloud (AWS EC2, Azure VM, GCP Compute Engine, and OCI Compute). * Resolve operating system incidents per service level agreements: 24×7 for P1/P2 and 12×5 for P3/P4\. * Execute operating system configuration changes: kernel parameters, performance tuning, and network configurations. * Apply Linux security patches per AVC cybersecurity team guidelines. * Manage swap space, file systems, and operating system resources. * Perform controlled instance restarts per documented procedures. * Execute operating system recovery procedures following failures. * Proactively monitor Linux server availability, capacity, and performance. * Reinstall and configure Linux distributions and base software per technical requirements. * Apply hardening configurations in the public cloud per AVC-approved standards. * Install security agents and digital certificates upon request from the cybersecurity team. * Document operational procedures, runbooks, and activities in ServiceNow Aurora. * Coordinate with database and middleware teams for platform incidents involving the operating system. **Technical Requirements** * 3+ years of experience as a Linux operating system administrator in production environments. * Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Debian, and CentOS distributions. * Experience with Linux instances in the public cloud: AWS EC2, Azure VM, GCP Compute Engine, or OCI Compute. * Advanced knowledge of shell scripting: Bash and Python for operational task automation. * Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. * Knowledge of Linux kernel management: sysctl parameters, performance tuning, and module management. * Experience with monitoring tools: Nagios, Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring, or equivalents. * Knowledge of Linux patch and vulnerability management: yum, dnf, apt. * Experience with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow. * Intermediate technical English for reading documentation and communicating with vendors. **Competencies and Profile** * Ability to collaborate effectively with the senior Linux profile in Argentina and the Wintel profile in Colombia. * Proactivity in identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business. * Orientation toward documentation and knowledge transfer to the team. * Availability for rotational on\-call duty for critical incidents. \#LI\-LATAM
