Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage financial information and ensure legal compliance. 2. Prepare financial statements and handle tax management. 3. Conduct internal audit analysis, cost control, and budget management. A prominent hotel in Barranquilla is currently seeking an ACCOUNTANT, a professional with at least two years of experience managing, recording, and analyzing corporate financial information to ensure economic health and legal compliance, preparing financial statements, handling tax matters, conducting internal audits, controlling costs, managing budgets, and providing strategic advisory support for decision-making. Proficiency in Zeus, Symphony, Opera, advanced Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite is strictly required. ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: • Financial Recording and Control: Maintain up-to-date accounting ledgers, record daily transactions, manage treasury operations, and monitor cash flow. • Preparation of Financial Statements: Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to reflect the company’s financial position. • Tax and Fiscal Management: Calculate taxes, prepare and file tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax), and ensure compliance with current regulations. • Analysis and Auditing: Audit accounting records to verify data accuracy and assess financial profitability and risks. • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop financial forecasts, establish budgets, and analyze operational costs. • Strategic Advisory: Provide management recommendations based on accounting reports to optimize resource utilization.
