Main Responsibilities: Operating Room Preparation Prepare the surgical area according to aseptic and antiseptic protocols. Verify availability and functionality of equipment, instruments, and sterile materials. Support During Surgical Procedures Assist medical and nursing staff during surgery. Handle instruments and supplies following biosafety standards. Ensure traceability of supplies used in each procedure. Supply and Equipment Management Monitor inventory of surgical materials and intraoperative medications. Report replenishment needs and coordinate with pharmacy or central sterilization. Patient Care Assist in preoperative preparation (IV access, shaving, transport). Collaborate in immediate postoperative recovery under supervision of nursing professionals. Regulatory Compliance and Safety Implement patient safety protocols and biosafety standards. Participate in safety huddles and report adverse events or incidents. Specific Tasks Set up surgical tables with instruments and sterile materials. Review preoperative checklists. Record supply consumption in hospital management systems. Assist in cleaning and disinfecting the operating room after each procedure. Collaborate in the safe transport of patients to and from the operating room. Required Competencies Knowledge of aseptic, antiseptic, and biosafety techniques. Proven experience supporting general and specialized surgeries.
