As an **RTG Operator**, you will be responsible for operating rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) port equipment to safely and efficiently execute container movements, storage, and positioning in the TCBUEN yard areas, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to established work plans.
This role guarantees correct execution of yard maneuvers, minimizing operational impact while maintaining safety, productivity, and service standards in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines defined by the Operations Directorate and Port Management, thereby contributing to efficient vessel\-yard\-gate operational flow.

Key responsibilities include…
* **Operate RTG equipment**, executing stacking, unloading, receiving, and dispatching of containers in compliance with operational plans and established safety standards.
* **Ensure proper use of assigned equipment**, conducting pre-operational inspections and reporting any abnormal conditions affecting equipment safety or availability.
* **Verify safe operating conditions** before and during maneuver execution, considering factors such as visibility, yard condition, equipment traffic, and weather conditions.
* **Perform visual inspections of critical equipment components**, verifying the condition of cables, spreaders, tires, safety systems, and other operational elements.
* **Maintain effective communication with yard personnel and operational control**, ensuring safe coordination of cargo movements.
* **Monitor and verify correct spreader and container trajectory and positioning**, ensuring precise movements that prevent damage to cargo, equipment, or infrastructure.
* **Strictly comply with operational procedures and HSE regulations**, contributing to a safe, efficient, and incident-free operation.
What are we looking for?
* Technical degree in logistics, port management, or related fields.
* Minimum **5 years of general experience** in the maritime\-port sector and containerized cargo handling, and **3 years of specific experience operating RTG equipment**.
* Basic technical English proficiency.
* Safety orientation, commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and decision-making ability.
* **Willingness to reside in Buenaventura \- Valle del Cauca.**
