Job Summary: We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant with communication skills and critical thinking abilities for sample collection, quality control, and procedural support. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform sample collection and preparation of equipment for experiments. 2. Ensure cleaning and disinfection of laboratory areas and equipment. 3. Assist bacteriology staff in procedures and sample setup. Healthcare service provider requires: CLINICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANT to work in the city of Pereira, Risaralda. · CUOC Code: 31115 · Important: Hepatitis B vaccination card and Hepatitis B titer documentation required; if the vaccination card’s validity exceeds one year upon institutional entry, the titer must be current. · Skills: applied learning, reading comprehension, assertive communication, active listening, and critical thinking. · Responsibilities: 1. Collect samples, prepare materials and equipment for laboratory experiments, tests, and special analyses according to technical procedures and regulations. 2. Conduct quality, quantity, and usage monitoring of laboratory supplies, samples, and analyses. Receive and hand over shifts according to the scheduled time. 3. Serve internal and external customers, provide information, and resolve inquiries. 4. Ensure cleaning and disinfection of equipment, tools, and all service areas. 5. Prepare all necessary equipment, supplies, and other items required to deliver services. 6. Collect samples following procedures, instructions, protocols, biosafety standards, and any other applicable institutional guidelines. 7. Assist bacteriology staff in performing procedures. 8. Perform sample setup and staining. 9. Monitor refrigerator temperatures used for sample transport. 10. Accurately complete and submit various records specified in procedures, instructions, and other documents. 11. Ensure proper handling of required attire for service delivery. 12. Wash materials according to institutional procedures. · Education Level: Technical degree in Clinical Laboratory Assistance or Nursing Assistance (with verifiable certification, official transcript, and diploma). Experience: Minimum 6 months as a clinical laboratory assistant. Contract Type: Fixed-term contract. Salary: 1 Legal Minimum Monthly Wage (SMMLV) + statutory benefits + overtime pay.
