Position Summary: We are seeking a General Accountant to lead the accounting team, ensure financial accuracy, tax strategy, and excellence in processes. Key Highlights: 1. At Rentokil Initial, a global leader in services, we are looking for our next General Accountant. Your mission will be to lead, structure, and develop the accounting team, ensuring stabilization of monthly closings, accuracy of financial statements, and strict compliance with the country’s tax regulations. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Direct, supervise, and empower the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture and timely compliance. Closing Stabilization: Ensure efficient execution of the full accounting cycle and monthly/annual closings under local and international standards (IFRS/NIC). Financial Statements: Structure, analyze, and present the company’s financial statements, ensuring they reflect operational reality for managerial decision-making. Tax Management and Strategy: End-to-end leadership of national and municipal tax planning, calculation, and filing, ensuring the company’s tax protection. Control and Audit: Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with requirements set by regulatory and oversight bodies. Requirements to Apply: Education: Degree in Public Accounting with an active professional license. Postgraduate specialization in Tax Management, Taxation, or International Standards (IFRS) is desirable. Experience: Minimum 5 years leading accounting and tax departments, preferably in multinational corporations or large-scale service companies. Technical Knowledge: Advanced expertise in national tax legislation; proficiency in analytics tools and top-tier accounting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Competencies / Skills: Strong team leadership, analytical mindset, attention to detail, organizational ability, and capacity to work under critical timeframes (e.g., closings).
