Position Summary: Lead and coordinate mining operations to ensure equipment availability and required volumes for clinker and cement production. Key Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate the execution of limestone preparation and mining activities. 2. Ensure compliance with delivery volume and quality of raw materials. 3. Coordinate environmental management and restoration at the Nobsa mine. WE ARE LOOKING FOR: MINE SUPERVISOR YOUR ROLE WILL BE: To lead, coordinate and control development, preparation, mining, and rehabilitation activities at the Nobsa quarry, ensuring optimal utilization and availability of equipment, performance of raw material crushing equipment, and stockpile formation to guarantee required volumes for clinker and cement manufacturing processes, in compliance with quality, cost, and environmental management parameters. YOUR MAIN CHALLENGES WILL BE: - Coordinate execution of preparation, development, waste removal, and limestone mining activities through scheduling of drilling, blasting, loading, material transportation, and ZODMES formation at the Nobsa quarry. - Coordinate the crushing process and limestone stockpile formation for raw mix by blending limestone from the Nobsa quarry, external quarries, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with established volume and quality parameters. - Coordinate implementation of environmental management, control, and restoration activities at the Nobsa mine as defined in the Environmental Management Plan, to ensure sustainable operations. Guarantee compliance with quality and operational standards defined for crushing and stockpile formation, as well as for raw materials added during cement grinding. - Coordinate and supervise contractor activities to ensure work is performed according to Holcim’s established standards and policies regarding safety, quality, and environment; promote a self-care culture across quarry and plant operational areas through hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of corrective actions related to unsafe behaviors and conditions, thereby protecting people’s integrity, facilities, and equipment. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or related fields. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in open-pit mining companies. - Proficiency in office software tools. - Class B2 driver’s license.
