Position Summary:
We are seeking a technology graduate, student, or junior accountant to manage accounting, supplier, petty cash, and procurement functions for a plumbing and locksmithing company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage commission settlements and payments to suppliers.
2. Control petty cash and coordinate office and workshop purchases.
3. Perform bank reconciliations and quotations.
A reputable plumbing and locksmithing company located in the north of Bogotá is seeking a technology graduate, student, or junior accountant with experience in the following functions.
Responsibilities: Review and settle commissions; prepare and record in the system checks and other accounting documents related to supplier payments; maintain records for each supplier including their respective RUT (Tax Identification Number); request social security contributions as mandated by the U.G.P.P. at the appropriate time; monitor paid and pending accounts payable; manage petty cash; maintain daily and chronological records of petty cash transactions; coordinate purchases of cleaning and cafeteria supplies; supervise and control their efficient and controlled usage; coordinate purchases of stationery and office supplies upon prior authorization of the corresponding requisition; track expense orders along with their supporting documentation; coordinate workshop and warehouse supply purchases; keep invoice resolution expiration dates up to date, whether by date or numbering; prepare quotations requested from warehouse and office departments; prepare monthly bank reconciliations within the first 10 days of each month to obtain actual bank transaction data.
Salary: $2,800,000; Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings; direct contract with the staffing agency. -Requirements- Minimum Education: University Degree / Technological Program
