




Job Summary: We are seeking a technical and collaborative Construction Officer - Structures to ensure the safe and high-quality execution of structural works in a flagship project. We seek a technical, hands-on, and collaborative individual who ensures structural works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Carry out civil construction activities or construction project execution for bridges, viaducts, and cantilevers, adhering to technical specifications and standards established in the provided drawings. * Proactively request materials, tools, equipment, and supplies required for construction activities related to bridges, cantilevers, and viaducts. * Properly store and handle supplies, tools, and equipment under your responsibility. * Appropriately assign tasks to various assistants comprising work crews to expedite completion of bridges and viaducts under your supervision. * Fully comply with, and ensure compliance with, constructive activities for bridges and viaducts according to established procedures. * Collect necessary samples for corresponding laboratory testing and quality control analyses, as specified in the quality plan. * Prepare daily consumption reports and daily activity reports for bridge and viaduct construction. * Monitor assigned personnel engaged in structural, bridge, and cantilever activities. * Maintain order and cleanliness at your worksite. * Execute all tasks within the stipulated timeframe. * Perform formwork for concrete structures using formwork panels for footings, foundation beams, columns, retaining walls, suspended beams, suspended slabs, and other structural and non-structural concrete elements required in bridge and cantilever construction. * Construct necessary filters and gabions during bridge and cantilever construction. * Execute and control excavations and backfilling according to design, using required manual and mechanical equipment in bridge and cantilever construction. * Perform layout and surveying of structural and architectural elements in bridge and other structural designs. * Cut and assemble reinforcing steel, interpreting basic reinforcement detailing drawings included in the designs. * Place, control, and finish concrete in various structural and non-structural concrete elements. * Organize and supervise work crews required for bridge and cantilever construction, including advance trolleys. * Ensure materials / tools / parts are available where needed for the assigned crew. * Arrange wooden wedges to level structures and advance trolleys. * Place concrete blocks to support main beams of bridges and cantilevers. **Essential Requirements:** * High school diploma (preferred) * Minimum 3 years’ experience as a civil construction officer in road infrastructure companies * Strong time management, task prioritization, and on-site problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. * Commitment to safety: demonstrable safe behavior and aptitude to apply safe work procedures. **Desirable Criteria:** * Experience in road and bridge projects * **About Us:** At Sacyr, we are committed to building a better world through our projects.
