Be a key employee in the Finance Department for strategic process including Budget, Forecast, Actuals and Analyticals for the Business Partners **Accountabilities** * Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. * Support to prepare and/or consolidate a monthly reporting packages that includes performance report, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences. * Leading monthly and quarterly close and forecast activities of the Finance Department * Preparing and delivering monthly financial/analytical reports of business performance to management * Manage Payroll and D\&A Budget and Forecast Model with quarterly updates * Monitor budget and forecast for strategic and operational decisions * Support annual budget process and lead im * Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for the monthly and quarterly financial and business review meetings. * Working with the Service Units teams to align forecasts and Drivers projections * Be a Finance Partner for Support Units for cost management and controls, * Formulate any initiatives on cost savings and efficiency enhancement Provide financial modeling and analysis for ad\-hoc financial projects. * Supporting preparation of financial analysis and management reporting to Management Committee, Board of Directors, Corporate Stakeholders and Service Units * Preparing comprehensive and creative documents to present to the board * Developing short term and long term financial modeling and business scenarios to support business growth * Constantly reviewing the Business requirements and driving ongoing development for the FP\&A function in the company * Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day\-to\-day activities and decisions. * Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day\-to\-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. * Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team. **Education / Experience / Other Information** * * BA in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Engineering/Business Administration * At least 3\-6 years finance/analysis experience, with proven aptitude in operational analysis, budgeting and forecasting in a multinational company. * Must have strong attention to detail * Must be able to manage and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines to multiple internal/external customers with fast turnaround times * Must have strong analytical capabilities and ability to understand complex projection models – both the technical and theoretical aspects * Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
