**Job Responsibilities:**
The Junior Civil Engineer will join our technical team and actively participate in various phases of the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* **Design and Calculations:** Collaborate on the design, calculation, and sizing of civil structures, including bridges, buildings, earthworks, and road infrastructure components.
* **Hydraulic Engineering:** Participate in the design and analysis of hydraulic structures such as channels, dams, water supply and sanitation systems, and river defense works.
* **Planning and Scheduling:** Support the preparation of construction plans, schedules, and detailed budgets.
* **Construction Supervision:** Assist in the technical supervision of construction execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and quality standards.
* **Project Analysis:** Conduct feasibility studies, risk analyses, and technical evaluations of projects.
* **Technical Documentation:** Prepare and review technical reports, calculation memos, drawings, and construction specifications.
* **Coordination:** Collaborate with other departments (design, construction, surveying) and external stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, authorities).
* **Quality and Safety Management:** Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of quality and occupational health and safety plans on site.
* **Innovation and Continuous Improvement:** Research and propose new technologies and methodologies to optimize design and construction processes.
**Job Requirements:**
* **Education:** University degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Roads, Canals and Ports), or a related field.
* **Experience:** Minimum 3 years of professional experience in civil engineering, preferably in similar roles or advanced internships.
* **Technical Knowledge:** Solid theoretical and practical foundation in structural design, hydraulic engineering, geotechnics, and construction.
* **Software:** Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, and structural modeling and calculation software (e.g., CYPE, SAP2000, ETABS, Revit).
* **Regulations:** Familiarity with applicable technical regulations in Spain and/or Europe.
* **Languages:** Advanced Spanish. English proficiency is a plus.
* **Competencies:** Analytical ability, problem-solving skills, proactivity, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience managing hydraulic and/or transportation infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
* Master’s degree or specialization in areas such as structures, hydraulics, construction management, or similar.
* Experience preparing environmental impact assessments.
