We are seeking a Java Developer to join our digital tribes to design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices, ensuring quality, performance, and resilience. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices in Java. * Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and automated testing. * Participate in the design of scalable and secure architectures. * Integrate applications with core banking systems, internal and external services. * Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners in defining requirements. * Implement and support CI/CD pipelines. * Document and maintain developed solutions in accordance with bank standards. **Education / Experience / Other Information** * 3+ years of backend development experience with Java (8 or later). * Experience with Spring / Spring Boot. * Solid knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs. * Experience with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis). * Proficiency with Git and experience in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). * Knowledge of microservice architecture principles. * English B1+ #### **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech is a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.
