Your role encompasses supervision of the technical team, resource management, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and implementation of safe practices to ensure efficient operations aligned with corporate and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will actively participate in planning, procedure standardization, quality control, result interpretation, and technical support to operational areas or internal customers. Responsible for supervising laboratory activities and processes to ensure timely, high-quality, and efficient assurance of raw material and manufactured product quality at the plant. Provide technical support to the sales team and recommend maintenance for field-used equipment. Manage procurement of laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment. Coordinate with the Procurement department on approval of alternate suppliers and have the authority to reject them based on technical criteria and experience. Develop procedures for reuse, recovery, or disposal of nonconforming material, as well as corrective actions, and hold authority over final disposition of materials. Responsible for proper visual management of inspection, measurement, and testing equipment in the laboratory, applying maintenance and calibration programs. You have authority to implement required changes. Develop field-based projects through physicochemical analysis. Control documentation and recordkeeping for your area per established procedures, including system introduction of new products and system maintenance, with authority to implement required changes. Responsible for detection, tracking, and correction of nonconforming products, as well as effective implementation of necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence of nonconformities. Provide technical support to ChampionX Colombia’s customer laboratories via reports and site visits. Support and commit to ChampionX Colombia’s quality improvement process. Responsible for implementing TPM and Lean Manufacturing strategies with your team. **Minimum Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 8 years of experience in a chemical laboratory. Advanced English language skills (oral and written fluency). Experience managing analytical instrumentation and calibrations. Experience using SAP or similar software. Knowledge of statistical process control.
