**Aircraft Simulator Technician**
================================
**The Aircraft Simulator Technician** **is responsible for performing complex and standardized technical tasks related to the preventive and corrective maintenance of simulators and associated systems. The position provides technical support in the office, at customer sites, and in the field, and may participate in equipment design and improvement activities.**

### **Key Responsibilities**
* Perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.
* Diagnose and correct routine issues in simulators and related systems.
* Support the identification and resolution of technical failures in simulators and associated systems.
* Record and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
* Conduct pre\-flight and post\-flight inspections on assigned simulators.
* Perform visual alignments of simulation systems.
* Execute and evaluate results from the Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
* Support hardware refurbishment and modification projects.
* Comply with processes and standards established by CAE’s quality management system.
* Provide customer support and respond to requests promptly.
* Perform logistics-related activities including receipt of spare parts, repairs, testing, and validations.
* Maintain appropriate levels of order and cleanliness in simulators and work areas.
* Complete assigned training activities.
* Actively participate in professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
* Share foundational knowledge and provide technical support to other technicians as required.
* Perform administrative tasks related to the role.
* Provide support to technical service teams as required.
**Minimum Qualifications**
--------------------------
* Two (2\) year technical diploma or equivalent education in a related field.
* Minimum three (3\) years of direct experience working with simulators.
* At least one (1\) year of relevant experience with the type of simulators used at the assigned location.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues across multiple types of simulators.
* Knowledge and experience using test and diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to use and interpret diagnostic tools available across different types of simulators.
* Ability to perform preventive maintenance and pre\-flight and post\-flight inspections on any simulator in the assigned fleet.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
**Preferred Qualifications**
-----------------------------
* Experience performing advanced visual adjustments and configurations on at least one type of simulation visual system.
* Experience supporting refurbishment projects, technology upgrades, or hardware modifications.
* Prior experience working in customer service-oriented environments.
* Knowledge of quality management systems or regulated environments.
* Experience training or providing technical guidance to other team members.
