Job Summary: Extrusion operator with experience in the flexographic plastics sector to ensure production and material quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure compliance with the production schedule on the extrusion machine 2. Inspect material quality and approve roll disposition 3. Work on waste reduction and propose corrective actions EXTRUSION OPERATOR (1) A company in the flexographic plastics sector requires a person to perform the role of FLEXOGRAPHIC EXTRUSION OPERATOR, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in this position, ensuring compliance with the established production schedule for the extrusion machine, under quality, productivity, and efficiency parameters, and adherence to control parameters specified in the technical data sheet and technical drawing for each product order. Responsibilities: - Load the mixture into containers for subsequent processing. Start and operate machines for plastic extrusion through nozzles or dies. - Start and operate machines that mold plastic products according to specifications. - Inspect the quality of the produced material. Approve roll disposition once quality requirements and customer-specified dimensions, weight, and gauge are met. - Review daily extrusion production scheduling and verify corresponding information for execution: Production Order, standardization, and sequence within the production schedule. - In coordination with the Extrusion Supervisor, plan and execute setups; analyze those presenting difficulties; and implement actions taken to improve them and reduce setup time. - Ensure continuous raw material feeding to the extrusion machine. - Work on waste reduction, analyze root causes, and propose corrective actions to the Extrusion Supervisor. - Ensure machinery, equipment, and tools are in proper working condition. Report any damage or signs of damage to the Extrusion Line Supervisor to implement necessary corrective and preventive actions. Comply with hygiene, order, and cleanliness procedures. Knowledge Requirements: - Operation of extrusion machines. - Quality judgment and observation of production parameters. Salary: $2,154,100 to $145,900 (depending on experience in the role) Contract Type: Temporary for 6 months (followed by direct employment with the company under an indefinite-term contract, offering job stability) Schedule: Starts Sunday night through Saturday, rotating 8-hour shifts.
