At Smurfit Westrock, a leader in the sustainable packaging industry, we are looking for a Forestry Machinery Technician 1 to join our team in Yumbo, Valle del Cauca. You will be responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks in workshops and forestry production farms, in accordance with the organization’s technical, regulatory, and safety guidelines, to ensure the availability, reliability, and proper operation of machinery used in forestry operations. · What Are We Looking For? Technical education in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Forestry and/or Agricultural Mechanics, or related fields. Minimum 1 year of experience in Diesel Mechanics and/or Heavy Equipment Maintenance within agricultural, forestry, or sugar mill companies. Solid knowledge of equipment maintenance. Willingness and ability to travel and temporarily reside in various municipalities across Valle del Cauca and the Colombian Coffee Axis, as required by operational needs. · What Will You Do? Perform maintenance tasks on divisional forestry equipment in workshops and forestry farms, complying with scheduled maintenance activities and adhering to established industrial safety standards for such operations. Coordinate and request supplies, materials, and components required for preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring their correct installation on equipment, their return to the forestry workshop, their registration in SAP, and the availability of tool and spare parts inventory—thereby ensuring traceability, efficiency, and operational continuity in maintenance work. Coordinate forestry equipment maintenance activities with external contractors and suppliers to ensure service quality and timeliness. · What Do We Offer?
