Ensure equipment availability and reliability A prominent industrial sector company requires an Industrial Mechanic for its paper and cardboard production plant in Bogotá. The role involves executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on mechanical systems associated with boilers, thermal equipment, and liquid fuel systems, ensuring operational continuity, safety, and production process efficiency. Main Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers and auxiliary equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in combustion and steam generation systems. Conduct periodic inspections of mechanical equipment, pipelines, valves, pumps, and liquid fuel systems. Support predictive maintenance and continuous improvement activities. Complete maintenance records and reports. Comply with industrial safety and environmental procedures. Ensure availability and reliability of assigned equipment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related fields. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of liquid fuel systems and fire-tube boilers. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of burners, fuel pumps, steam systems, valves, steam traps, and thermal equipment. Experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical failures in industrial combustion systems. Knowledge of industrial safety applied to steam generation systems. With two years of work experience performing these functions.
