You will be a key member of Fertrac’s strategic data transformation project. Your primary mission will be to support the migration of our information—currently stored in Excel files—to a cloud infrastructure (AWS). This involves cleaning, structuring, and loading data into relational databases, ensuring data quality and integrity at every step of the process. Technologies and tools you will use: Python (pandas, openpyxl) SQL AWS services (RDS, S3 or others as required by the project) Git Key Responsibilities: Extract, clean, and transform data from Excel files for loading into AWS databases. Design and maintain database table structures and schemas to meet business needs. Write Python scripts to automate data extraction and loading processes (ETL). Validate the integrity and consistency of migrated data. Document project processes, data flows, and data dictionaries. What are we looking for in you? Intermediate knowledge of relational databases and SQL (table design, queries, bulk data loading). Basic-to-intermediate Python programming (file handling, pandas, task automation). Familiarity with data migration concepts and ETL processes. Attention to detail, rigor, and organizational ability. Desirable: Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS or others). Education and Experience: Technical or university degree in Systems Engineering, Data Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Experience Ideally 1–2 years of experience working with databases We also consider self-taught candidates with strong portfolios (GitHub, personal projects, AWS or database certifications).
