If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. **Job Description:** * **Job Summary**: The Andean Countries Procurement Analyst is responsible for three core pillars: + **Costing**: Responsible for quoting international transportation service negotiations (*Air, Ocean, Ground \& Additional services*), whether for formal tenders, medium-term quotations, Spot Quotes, or rate sheets. + **Suppliers**: Responsible for managing and executing actions related to sourcing and maintaining suppliers within UPS for Andean countries (documentary onboarding transactions, meetings, calls, video/teleconferences, in-person meetings, etc.). + **Market**: Conduct market analysis of air, maritime, and land transportation products when required. * **Key Responsibilities**: * **ANDAN COUNTRIES PROCUREMENT ANALYST ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * **Supplier Costing and Maintenance Management for Andean Countries (CO, EC \& PE):** + Receive, analyze, and deliver quotations for international cargo transportation services—including air, maritime, and land transportation—via formal tenders, short-term quotations, or one-time shipments. + Receive, analyze, and deliver quotations for last-mile pickup and delivery services related to international cargo transportation. + Receive, analyze, and deliver quotations for additional international cargo transportation services such as cargo security, loading, unloading, forklift usage, repacking, lashing, and tying, etc. + Develop rate sheets for international cargo transportation services. + Update local contact lists for international cargo transportation services. + Prospect, maintain, analyze, and conduct meetings with high-impact suppliers related to international cargo transportation services. + Create and participate in strategic calls with internal teams or clients such as PRICING, OPERATIONS, SALES, and MANAGEMENT. + Present net rates for executing quoted and won business. + Prepare and complete management reports. + Conduct market analysis when required. * **Supplier Documentation Management for Andean Countries (CO, EC \& PE):** + Weekly documentation follow-ups with the aforementioned suppliers and the internal COMPLIANCE team via email, chat, or phone call. + Schedule teleconferences with suppliers experiencing documentation issues and/or with the internal COMPLIANCE team. + Create, develop, and/or update internal VENDORS (financial codes) for suppliers. * **Technical Skills** (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook): + Proficiency in Office suite: Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel (*advanced Excel preferred*). + Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools, specifically ‘Copilot’ (preferred). + Experience using airline, shipping line, and local land carrier applications (preferred). * **Required Qualifications** (e.g., Technical, Technologist, or Professional degree in accounting, finance, or related fields): + Technologist, professional degree (preferred), or student nearing graduation (maximum two semesters remaining) in International Trade, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. * **Example of Required Qualifications** / you may add more if desired: + English language proficiency. + Experience negotiating costs and managing international cargo suppliers. + Experience in multitasking management. + Experience in international trade and/or logistics. * **Required Experience:** + **2–3 years required.** * **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (covering 42 weekly hours), (1 hour for lunch), (2 fifteen-minute breaks—one in the morning and one in the afternoon) * **Required English Level:** Advanced or (60% or expected level). * **Position Grade: 9** * **Work Modality:** Hybrid. * **Exact Work Address:** Avenida Calle 26 \#106 – 39 and/or house. * **Number of Positions to Fill: 1** **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
