Job Summary: We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of the transportation process, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and service compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of the transportation process. 2. Design and optimize transportation routes for efficient and timely deliveries. 3. Negotiate freight rates and tariffs with transportation providers, optimizing costs. We seek a Transportation Coordinator with expertise in urban, mass, port, and parcel logistics operations, capable of leading the planning, execution, and optimization of the transportation process while ensuring efficiency, profitability, and service compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize transportation routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries. - Coordinate daily operations with drivers and ensure proper route execution. - Plan and manage dispatch and pickup scheduling. - Ensure availability of owned and third-party vehicles according to demand. - Negotiate freight rates and tariffs with transportation providers, optimizing costs. - Manage relationships with logistics providers and partners. - Supervise the use of tracking systems (GPS) to monitor operations. - Ensure fleet maintenance and operational availability. - Analyze performance metrics (on-time performance, delivery times, costs, productivity). - Implement continuous improvement initiatives in transportation operations Bachelor's degree or Technical degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Transportation, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating transportation (urban, mass, port, or parcel). Knowledge of vehicle types and cubic capacity. Experience in freight rate negotiation and supplier management. Knowledge of routing and logistics planning. BASC standards knowledge is desirable.
