### **Summary**
Join our team as a Junior Observability Engineer, where we implement and optimize tools enabling automated and efficient monitoring, providing the necessary insights to resolve errors and ensure uninterrupted operation of our cloud-based products in production environments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on tasks that enhance the stability, availability, and performance of production cloud infrastructures. You will support the design and implementation of monitoring solutions and the visualization of platform performance indicators (KPIs), aiming to guarantee operational continuity for large data centers supporting critical, high-availability applications and infrastructures.
**This role is available for remote work from the following locations: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru.**
### **Responsibilities**
* Support the configuration and maintenance of monitoring tools for cloud environments.
* Collaborate in creating and refining dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Participate in detecting critical platform incidents, escalating them to Senior Engineers or the Product Development team.
* Perform basic operational tasks in development, testing, and production environments.
* Collaborate on automating routine tasks using Bash or Python scripts.
* Learn and contribute to internal continuous improvement initiatives in monitoring and observability.
### **Requirements**
* **Education**
Professional degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computing, or related fields.
* **Experience**
Experience in software development (Python).
Experience configuring and supporting monitoring tools for distributed applications, preferably in Kubernetes-based environments.
* **Specific Knowledge / Technical Requirements**
**Advanced Python**
* 2\-3 years of software development experience with Python
* Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming (OOP), computational complexity, design patterns, concurrency.
**Intermediate Linux**
* Basic commands, file manipulation, networking, etc.
* Experience with Shell scripting (Bash).
* Automation (scripting) with Bash and/or Python.
**Basic Monitoring**
* Monitoring of standard services.
* Concepts of metric management, log management, definition of basic alerts, visualizations (e.g., Grafana).
**Basic Kubernetes Administration**
* Deployment of standard applications (Deployment, Service, and ConfigMap resources).
**Basic Git**
* Standard workflow with add, commit, push.
* Branch management and conflict resolution.
* Language: Intermediate English (Writing/Reading): search in English
**Desirable**
* Public Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) or Private Cloud (OpenStack)
* Monitoring with open-source stacks (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana)
* Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
