Position Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the operation, optimization, and automation of biogas, electric power, and biomethane plants, performing maintenance and coordinating projects. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the operation, control, and optimization of biogas and energy plants. 2. Supervise the automation of biogas, energy, and biomethane plants. 3. Perform maintenance and coordinate construction project execution. Biogás Colombia SAS ESP is a company dedicated to landfill biogas treatment, electricity generation from biogas, and biomethane production. We require a Mechanical Engineer to perform the following duties: * Participate in—and subsequently lead—the operation, control, and optimization of the biogas plant and the electric power generation plant. * Contribute to the restructuring—and subsequently supervise—the automation of the biogas plant, the electric power generation plant, and the biomethane plant. * Perform maintenance on the gas collection network, all equipment in the biogas plant, and electromechanical equipment across both plants. * Coordinate construction project execution, managing personnel and contractors. * Calculate and monitor greenhouse gas emission reductions achieved by the plant through preventing biogas generated at the Doña Juana Sanitary Landfill (RSDJ) from being released into the atmosphere. * Be responsible for documenting technical processes and operational reports. * Respond to contingencies and propose improvements to enhance process efficiency and continuity. **Experience**: Minimum 1–2 years related to the following sectors: *Oil and gas, power generation, process engineering, projects, piping, or gas.* Contract Type: Indefinite-term Work Mode: On-site Working Hours: Full-time Location: Doña Juana Sanitary Landfill, Bogotá, Colombia Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
