Summary: This role provides administrative and project support for a conservation initiative, focusing on general support, documentation, and coordination to implement project deliverables. Contribute to marine and environment conservation efforts **Project Associate** Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity. With offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries, Conservation International partners with governments, companies, civil society, Indigenous peoples, and local communities to help people and nature thrive together. **POSITION SUMMARY \- This position is based in Apia, Samoa** The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative and project support for the Resilient Reefs Pasifika – Samoa Hub project. Provide general administrative support to the Project Manager and other project/technical staff to help implement project deliverables. Assist in drafting routine communications and handling everyday project materials/documents. Assist with project monitoring, compiling data, and drafting non\-technical status reports. Manage project documents/agreements and maintain files and tracking systems. Liaise with and maintain good working relationships with staff and partners, respond to requests for information, and otherwise help ensure they have the information necessary to implement project deliverables. Provide logistical support for site visits and learning events, including training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and assist with event communications, travel logistics, vendor oversight, etc. Organize conference calls and project/team meetings; manage agendas, logistics, minutes, and reporting. Act as liaison with staff, project partners, and stakeholders. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Provide Secretariat supporting role to the project Steering Committee with meetings, project review, and evaluation. * Support the delivery of the project workplan. * Assist with the documentation of project proposals, progress reports, and final technical and financial reports. * Assist with project\-related procurement processes. * Support the development of communication materials, dissemination, and information sharing between all partners and stakeholders, in close collaboration with CI Communication team and the Project Manager * Provide logistical assistance for site visits and learning activities. This includes support for training sessions, workshops, consultations, seminars, and conferences. Also, aid with event communications, travel arrangements, and vendor management. * Assist in collecting, documenting, analyzing, and validating data and information related to the project * Provide support with project monitoring and evaluation, including the creation of status reports intended for a general audience * Does not manage staff, not accountable for any operating budget, or manages public or private funds. **WORKING CONDITIONS** * Typical office environment. * May need to work beyond normal working hours as needed * Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Required** * Up to 2 years of related work experience in marine and/or fisheries and environment conservation and management work, or in a related field. * Efficient knowledge and good understanding of marine resources, environment, and conservation principles, and experience in marine\-related initiatives and community work. * Ability to support assessments on coral reefs and related marine ecosystems. * Knowledgeable in the use of computers, especially with Microsoft Office package, with a basic understanding of spatial information applications. * Strong organization and communication skills. * Detail\-oriented and able to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Service focus.
