




Position Summary: Geological engineer with experience in geotechnics for site visits, geological description, and report preparation, ensuring quality and safety. Key Highlights: 1. Preparation and organization of technical reports An engineering consulting firm providing technical engineering services and related activities—including drilling and exploratory boring, laboratory testing of soils, concrete, pavements, and construction materials—requires a ***Geological Engineer with experience in geotechnical works and geotechnical solutions*** for its team. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Conduct site visits to assigned projects to verify project conditions (e.g., borehole locations, ground stability, etc.) * Receive exploratory borehole samples, inspect the samples, and complete the delivery form for submission to external clients or to the geotechnical department for laboratory scheduling. * Receive and approve pile samples from projects under construction, provided by our client. * Carry out geological description and geotechnical characterization stages required in the report, as stipulated in the Geological Description Manual, for subsequent review by the Senior Geologist / Director. * Prepare and organize reports to ensure compliance with all technical specifications and those required by the client or applicable standards, for final review by the Senior Geological Engineer / Director. * Maintain continuous communication with the Director of Exploratory Drilling and Boring / Field Leader for project execution. * Review project-related information supplied by the client. Participate in photo-interpretation, multi-temporal analysis, and secondary data review to develop project background documentation. * Accompany the Director of Studies and Design to technical meetings when required. * Ensure sample identification remains intact after inspection to guarantee process traceability. * Sample custody is the responsibility of the laboratory. * Ensure proper preservation and appropriate storage of records associated with project execution. * Perform all activities prioritizing personal safety, colleagues’ safety, and equipment safety, and promptly report any incidents occurring at the work site. * Use personal protective equipment. * On-site, wearing boots, helmets, vests, and other required PPE is mandatory. Establish satisfactory working relationships with all company personnel and personnel from other companies involved in the project, based on mutual respect. * Travel between the office and various work sites to perform field activities, following prior coordination with the Director of Studies and Design. * Properly document all economic resources assigned for the normal development of projects requiring company-provided maintenance. * Request in advance the necessary authorizations for medical appointments, personal errands, leaves of absence, and vacations from the Director of Studies and Design. * Attend primary team meetings and other meetings convened by peers or superiors. * Support and comply with industrial safety and occupational health regulations.
