




Position Summary: We are seeking an OSH Assistant for an engineering and consulting firm responsible for ensuring workplace safety, health, and quality in projects and operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages occupational safety and health (OSH Management System). 2. Ensures compliance with quality regulations (ISO 9001:2015). 3. Coordinates risk prevention and management activities. An engineering technical services company and other related consulting activities—including drilling and sounding, laboratory testing of soils, concrete, pavements, and construction materials—requires an OSH Assistant for its workforce. Job Objective: 1. Deliver safety talks. 2. Conduct safety inspections. 3. Complete forms and procedures. 4. Report unsafe conditions at work sites. 5. Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE). 6. Distribute work uniforms. 7. Maintain order and cleanliness at work sites. 8. Coordinate site signage. 9. Process entry permits for various projects. 10. Submit HSE management reports to external clients. 11. Complete various platforms enabled by the external client for field activity management. 12. Design and revise quality management system (QMS) forms and procedures. 13. Develop and revise OSH Management System (OSH-MS) documents. 14. Prepare the risk matrix and ensure planning of preventive activities derived therefrom. 15. Prepare the risk matrix for projects as required, based on planned activities. 16. Ensure personnel have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their duties. 17. Know, comply with, and enforce legal and other requirements affecting the company. 18. Identify training/knowledge needs across all organizational personnel related to the OSH-MS and manage them with support from the Human Resources department. 19. Evaluate all company personnel’s compliance with responsibilities and functions under the OSH-MS. 20. Verify that corrective and preventive actions arising from OSH inspections have been implemented correctly and on time; close such actions where applicable. 21. Receive visits from the Labor Authority and workers’ representative bodies (COPASST, CCL). 22. Verify that corrective and preventive actions arising from incident investigations have been implemented correctly and on time. 22. Address client requirements regarding the OSH-MS. 23. Implement the Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Management System according to Decree 1072 (Resolution 0312) or subsequent replacements. 24. Ensure proper disposal of solid waste and other surplus project materials. 25. Ensure third parties contracted comply with all applicable requirements. 26. Notify the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Provider (ARL) of occupational accidents, follow up, and ensure subsequent investigation. 27. Monitor and verify implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System. 28. Manage administration of pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations for personnel and take appropriate actions based on examination results. 29. Promote, disseminate, and provide information/knowledge on medicine, hygiene, and safety among leaders and staff to foster active participation in developing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System. 30. Conduct initial and refresher occupational safety and health inductions. 31. Lead committees and their activities. 32. Provide primary care to employees in case of accidents. 33. Periodically visit workplaces to inspect environments, machines, equipment, devices, and operations, reporting risk factors to the immediate supervisor and suggesting preventive and control measures. 34. Evaluate performance indicators and quantifiable targets of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSH-MS). 35. Coordinate safe working-at-heights training for operational staff, monitor validity and expiration dates, and sign off on working-at-heights permits. 36. Label the company’s flammable chemical products and supervise proper storage. 37. Ensure the quality management system conforms to ISO 9001:2015 requirements. 38. Ensure the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the system are planned and implemented. 39. Support updating the Quality System to ensure implementation, auditing, and maintenance across all organizational processes. 40. Keep NTC ISO 9001 procedures up to date. 41. Provide requested data to the OSH Coordinator and collaborate in investigating and analyzing incidents and nonconformities. 42. Jointly receive visits from the Labor Authority and workers’ representative bodies with the OSH Coordinator. 43. Verify that corrective and preventive actions arising from incident investigations have been implemented correctly and on time. 44. Provide all requested information/knowledge to auditors for preparation and execution of audits at the workplace. 45. Personally attend audit execution when required. 46. Approve closure of preventive, corrective, and improvement actions. Education: Professional or Technologist degree in OSH with valid license. Course: 50 hours. Working-at-Heights Coordinator. Competencies in NTC: 9001:2015.
