The Social Analyst plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with external communities. This person conducts research, analyzes community needs, and identifies collaboration opportunities. They contribute to the development and implementation of community relations strategies, including communication plans, outreach programs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. The Analyst fosters positive relationships with community leaders, organizations, and residents, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values. They provide regular updates on community engagement efforts, participate in community events, and contribute to the overall success of the organization’s community relations program. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage positive relationships with communities and local leaders within the Company’s operational area of influence through timely information sharing, institutional coordination, and handling of IPQR (social, environmental, land-related, and operational issues). To this end, they must implement the social activities outlined in AES Colombia’s Environmental Management Plans and Social Management Plans within the assigned area of influence. * Support the planning and execution of activities to fulfill the Environmental Management Plan (Management Sheets, Information, and Communication). * Address or channel concerns, requests, complaints, and claims in accordance with AES Colombia’s power plants’ Environmental Management System and their area of influence. * Collect timely and relevant information from the area of influence (communities, leaders, authorities, opponents) through efficient relationship-building and channel it via the Social Management Coordination team to generate early warnings that enable the establishment of initiatives, preventive actions, or mitigation measures for potential operational risks. * Support the development of the Social Management Plan (including defined CSR projects) for JK 1, JK 2, JK 3, and JK 4 power plants within the area of influence and feed available tools for reporting indicators, tracking projects, and engaging with various stakeholder groups. * Support the design and establishment of communication, information, and ongoing dialogue strategies with different actors present in the area of influence (Community Action Boards, Educational Institutions, Social Organizations, Producer Associations, Local Committees, etc.), with emphasis on Social Management projects. * Execute the local communications plan (previously agreed upon with the Social Management Coordinator and Communications Coordinator) and provide feedback on its impact to ensure full transparency regarding the Company’s actions in local communities and institutions. 7\. Continuously supervise the implementation of socio-environmental management measures and commitments made to the community: Prior Consultation Agreements, Easement Use, Environmental Management Plan, and report findings/progress monthly. * Systematize/document the Company’s social management activities to: i) support environmental compliance reports related to social topics; ii) substantiate investments in the area of influence; iii) contribute inputs to the sustainability report; and iv) systematize success stories or opportunities for change to support continuous improvement. * Perform other duties arising from the position and assigned by the immediate supervisor, as appropriate within the context of the role. * Contribute to compliance with the Management System Policy, which incorporates Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, Quality, and Asset Management variables, and promote continuous improvement of the system through their management. * Contribute, through their management, to fulfilling the requirements of the management system to ensure continuous improvement of responsible processes and compliance with corporate guidelines. * Supervise and enforce the Company’s safety policies in each contract and construction project supported by Corporate Social Responsibility resources. **Position Requirements:** * Professional in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Psychology, Political Science, or Social/Human Sciences. * 3–5 years of experience in social management, corporate social responsibility, or as a social project supervisor, preferably in the energy sector, transmission lines, wind farms, infrastructure projects, or hydroelectric power plants. * Strong experience in community engagement, fieldwork with indigenous communities (ideally Wayuu), and participation in prior consultation processes (at least one phase). * Valuable experience in relocation/resettlement processes and implementation of social and environmental management plans. * Familiarity with the Equator Principles and World Bank Performance Standards is desirable. * Knowledge of georeferencing tools is desirable. * Knowledge of document control, community strengthening and social organization development, project management (social, environmental, educational, cultural), budget control, and technical report writing. * Skills in communication and conflict resolution, preferably related to infrastructure or mining-energy project development. * Knowledge of Wayuunaiki (not mandatory but valued). **We improve the lives of over 10\+ million people through the safe and reliable delivery of energy.
