OFFSET PRINTING ASSISTANT **Reporting to:** Offset Printing Coordinator **Direct reports:** Not applicable **Job Purpose:** Support the offset printer or operator in various activities of the printing process, ensuring proper material supply, workstation preparation, basic process control, order and cleanliness, and compliance with the company's established quality and safety standards. Main Responsibilities * Support the printer in preparing and setting up the offset press. * Load, unload, and transport paper and other materials. * Supply inks, paper, solutions, and other required consumables promptly. * Assist in mounting and dismounting printing materials. * Remove and organize printed material. * Conduct basic visual inspections during the process. * Report any defects or anomalies detected in the product to the printer. * Sort and control defective or non-conforming material. * Support reference changes and machine setup. * Maintain an organized and clean work area. * Perform basic cleaning of equipment and tools according to established instructions. * Follow instructions given by the printer and supervisor. * Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly. * Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and procedures. * Support achievement of production and quality targets. * Take care of assigned tools, equipment, and materials. * Record or complete relevant forms when required. Requirements **Education:** High school diploma. **Experience:** Preferably 6 months of experience in production processes, graphic printing, finishing, or related activities. Candidates without experience but willing to learn may also be considered. **Desired Knowledge:** * Basic concepts of offset printing. * Paper handling and manipulation. * Identification of materials and consumables. * Visual quality control. * Machine and equipment safety. * Order and cleanliness at the workstation.
