Role Overview We are seeking a talented **Software Developer** to help build, improve, and scale the MyThorneAI platform. This role will work closely with the CEO, product team, and designers to develop new features, improve performance, and ensure the platform delivers a seamless experience for students, educators, and workforce partners. The ideal candidate enjoys building innovative technology solutions, optimizing user experience, and contributing to a mission\-driven education technology platform. Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Development * Design, build, and maintain core components of the MyThorneAI platform * Develop and improve AI\-powered features such as: * Job Work Simulations * AI Interview Training * Speech Coach * Resume \& CV Analysis * Career readiness learning tools Feature Implementation * Implement new product features and improvements * Build scalable backend systems to support thousands of users * Optimize the simulation engine to improve speed and responsiveness AI \& Automation Integration * Integrate AI models to power conversational simulations and training experiences * Improve natural language processing within work simulation scenarios * Assist with automation features that enhance student feedback and learning outcomes User Experience Optimization * Collaborate with designers to improve UI/UX * Ensure smooth interactions between frontend and backend systems * Improve platform responsiveness and reduce loading times Data \& Analytics * Build student performance tracking features * Develop analytics dashboards for educators and administrators * Ensure accurate data reporting and insights Quality \& Security * Write clean, maintainable, and well\-documented code * Conduct testing and debugging * Maintain security standards and protect user data QualificationsRequired * 3\+ years experience in software development * Strong experience with modern web development frameworks * Experience building scalable SaaS platforms * Strong problem\-solving and debugging skills * Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred * Experience with AI or machine learning integrations * Experience in EdTech, workforce development, or training platforms * Experience building simulation\-based learning tools * Experience working with APIs and cloud infrastructure Technical Skills Experience in some or all of the following: Frontend * React / Next.js * JavaScript / TypeScript * HTML5 / CSS3 Backend * Node.js / Python * REST APIs * Database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) AI Integration * OpenAI / LLM APIs * Natural Language Processing tools Infrastructure * AWS / Google Cloud / Vercel * CI/CD pipelines * Git version control What You'll Help Build As a developer at MyThorneAI, you will help scale a platform that delivers: * **250\+ career simulations** * **AI\-powered interview training** * **Speech and communication coaching** * **Career exploration tools** * **Student progress analytics** * **Workforce readiness development** Our goal is to support **thousands of students across schools, VR programs, and workforce organizations nationwide.** Opportunities for long\-term growth as MyThorneAI expands nationally.
