### **Missions**
The Department of Construction and Responsible Heritage Management (DCGRP) lies at the heart of preserving and enhancing municipal buildings. It ensures maintenance, cleaning, upkeep, and operation of infrastructure while overseeing investment projects and construction works. Under the supervision of the Thermal Sector Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of thermal installations for the City of Clermont\-Ferrand.
Your responsibilities:
Operate and maintain thermal installations: • Ensure proper functioning of equipment: boiler rooms, air handling units (AHUs), hot water production, etc. • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks: repairs, adjustments, shutdowns, and recommissioning of installations.
Monitor and control installation performance: • Conduct temperature readings, combustion controls, fuel level checks, and AHU filter inspections. • Guarantee regulatory compliance and apply operational procedures defined by the department.
Respond to breakdowns and ensure service continuity: • Address urgent requests transmitted via the Reception and Breakdown Unit. • Diagnose failures and propose appropriate solutions for rapid service restoration.
Track and document interventions: • Record intervention reports in the CARL system and regularly report to the sector manager. • Participate in acceptance procedures for works carried out by external contractors.
Contribute to installation improvement and modernization: • Propose technical and economic optimizations to enhance energy performance. • Update technical data, regulatory documents (maintenance logs, boiler room handbooks, sanitary registers, etc.), and electrical or network diagrams. Versatility and commitment: • Perform other technical duties as required by the department, in a team-oriented and public-service spirit.
### **Profile**
You hold a CAP, BEP, or BAC Pro in electrotechnology or industrial electricity, thermal installations, or HVAC engineering; you possess solid knowledge in electrotechnology (heating, electricity) and hydraulics. Ideally, you also have proven professional experience in this field. You are familiar with building safety regulations and standards, and you know how to operate complex specific equipment (gas and oil burners, control systems, etc.). Furthermore, you have demonstrated your ability to detect malfunctions, assess the urgency of situations, take appropriate measures, and manage priorities. Available, autonomous, rigorous, organized, and methodical, you can read and modify technical plans and diagrams. Experience as a heating technician or in building maintenance is appreciated. Driver’s license category B is mandatory.
### **Working Conditions**
Working hours: 37.5 hours/week (8:00–16:15, Monday to Friday)
