Develops and updates safety training materials. **EHS Specialist (Rionegro Free Trade Zone, Antioquia, Colombia)** **Job Summary:** Under the supervision of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, the EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing occupational safety programs, conducting safety inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and promoting a safety culture across the organization. **Employment Status:** * Full-time * Salary * Non-Exempt * Reports to: Environmental Health and Safety Manager **Job Responsibilities:** * Safety Program Implementation * Assists in the implementation and maintenance of safety programs * Conducts periodic safety inspections and audits * Supports incident investigation and root cause analysis * Monitors compliance with company policies and regulations * Maintains safety records and documentation * Training and Development * Conducts safety training sessions * Provides first aid, CPR, and AED training * Supports safety orientation for new employees * Develops and updates safety training materials * Compliance and Documentation * Assists in maintaining OSHA 300 logs and related documentation * Reviews and updates Safety Data Sheets (SDS) * Supports safety documentation for new campaigns * Assists in drafting and updating standard operating procedures * Participates in process hazard analysis * Program Support and Communication * Participates in safety committee meetings * Contributes to weekly safety meetings * Assists in managing workers’ compensation claims * Supports safety budget planning and tracking * Interfaces with all levels of management and staff **Education and Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred * Associate’s degree with relevant experience * Professional safety certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA, CSP) **Experience / Skills / Competencies:** * 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing * Proficiency in safety management systems * Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators * Valid driver’s license * Competent computer skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities **Technical Competencies:** * Safety program management * Incident investigation * Risk assessment * Emergency response * Training facilitation * Documentation management **Job Expectations / Working Conditions:** Physical Requirements: * Standing for extended periods * Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted * Climbing stairs * Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling * Working at heights * Pushing/pulling motions Work Environment: * Manufacturing plant environment * Indoor and outdoor work * Exposure to varying temperatures * Regular use of PPE * Industrial environment
